Dr. Kwang-Ya Wang, the founder of Yu Da University of Science and Technology, established the Kwang-Ya Art Center as one of his two major art initiatives. A renowned educator in Taiwan, Dr. Wang has founded ten educational institutions over the past 53 years, including three colleges across the Taiwan–China Strait.

The Kwang-Ya Art Center, located within Yu Da University of Science and Technology in Miaoli County, Taiwan, is a privately funded art space open to the public. It is dedicated to the exhibition of contemporary Chinese visual arts—including calligraphy, painting, and sculpture—by distinguished Chinese artists.

Established in November 2002, the center houses tens of thousands of artworks, along with a large collection of art books, Eastern and Western paintings, ceramics, and sculptures by celebrated artists such as Li Chi-Mao (李奇茂) and Ju Ming (朱铭).

The center supports academic development at the university and fosters opportunities for networking among local and regional artists, students, and the broader community. It serves as a hub for exhibitions, forums, discussions, and professional training.

Seasonal exhibitions at the center highlight a diverse range of artworks, with a special focus on emerging young artists and creators. Many exhibitions feature themes of local significance and are designed to engage both the campus and the surrounding community.

The Kwang-Ya Art Center actively collaborates with local schools, community groups, and professional art institutions to promote artistic education, cultural engagement, and meaningful dialogue through the arts.
